Experience Overview:

Jeff Olson brings 28 years of transportation engineering expertise to our clients.  Mr. Olson’s combined efforts in California and Oregon have led to the delivery of over $150 million worth of transportation projects.  As Project Manager, Project Engineer, Designer and Independent Checker, Mr. Olson understands all phases of transportation and bridge design. He has completed preliminary and final designs, details, specifications and estimates of design projects involving more than 150 structures.  These projects include freeway-to-freeway interchanges, railroad crossings, bridge widenings, seismic retrofits, and river crossings.  He has also completed the maintenance inspection of over 600 bridges, completed the preliminary design (advance planning studies) for over 200 bridges, and been responsible for the load rating of dozens more.

 

Earlier in his career, Mr. Olson was employed at Caltrans Division of Structures where he was the Prestressed Concrete Committee Chairman and a member of the Steel Bridge Committee.  His responsibilities included establishing statewide policies and guidelines for the design and construction of prestressed concrete and steel bridges in California.  He was also a Seismic Specialist, responsible for developing and overseeing the seismic design of new bridges and the retrofit of over 100 existing bridges.
