Experience Overview:
Jim Foster has 23 years of bridge and transportation design experience, 14 with Caltrans, six years serving as a Structures Design Branch Chief and one year as a Roadway Design Branch Chief. He was responsible for managing, scheduling, assigning, coordinating, and directing project engineers to student assistants in the development of contract plans and quantities for various bridge and transportation projects. Additionally, Mr. Foster served as an Assistant Bridge Construction Representative, Assistant Engineering Geologist, and Assistant Structures Local Assistance Engineer. While at Caltrans Mr. Foster was chairman of the Engineering Service Center Quality Assurance and Quality Control Committee, Computer Committee, and a member of the Prestressed Concrete Committee.
