			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Quincy Engineering, Inc.</strong> is pleased to announce the addition of <strong>Theron Roschen, P.E. </strong>as a new member of the Quincy Engineering Team and as a <strong>Senior Project Manager </strong>for the firm<strong>.</strong></p>

<p><strong>Theron Roschen </strong>is widely known in Northern California for his leadership and management in transportation.  He was formerly the Chief Engineer with the Sacramento County Department of Public Works where he managed the delivery of regional transportation projects including:</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<ul style="padding-left: 220px;">
<li>The New Hazel Avenue Bridge, Calvine Road Improvements, and the Watt Avenue Bridge at the American River, among others.</li>
</ul>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>As a <strong>Senior Project Manager</strong> for <strong>Quincy Engineering</strong>, <strong>Mr. Roschen</strong> will increase the firm’s ability to manage major transportation projects and open a new service line with his vast knowledge of pavement management systems and expertise in the use of rubberized asphalt concrete for roadway applications.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Mark Reno</strong> was recently awarded the 2011 &#8220;<em>Arthur L. Elliott Award for Outstanding Achievement In Bridge Engineering</em>.&#8221;  This award was presented by the Structural Engineering Institute, Sacramento Section Chapter, ASCE and is in remembrance of Arthur L. Elliot (1911-2004).  <span id="more-1435"></span>Elliot attended the University of Washington, graduating in 1993 with a degree in civil engineering. In 1953 he was named state&#8217;s chief of bridge planning for California.  Elliott achieved worldwide recognition as an authority of bridge design and retired in September 1973 after nearly 40 years of service to the State of California.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Greg Young was recently awarded the 2011 Practitioner Advisor of the Year for ASCE Region 9 for his exemplary service and dedication to the University of California Davis ASCE Student Chapter.<br />

Greg is an Senior Engineer for Quincy Engineering, Inc. in Sacramento. He began his career at Quincy Engineering, Inc. as an intern in 1999 and over the past ten years he has served as a design engineer, project engineer, and bridge construction engineer for many local agency transportation projects throughout California. A graduate of UC Davis with a BS in Civil Engineering, Greg participated in ASCE student chapter activities throughout his college years. Since graduating, Greg has continued to work with and assist the student community in a number of ways.  Early in his career, he joined the Sacramento Section of YMF and served as the student affairs chair. Greg is currently the UC Davis practitioner advisor and outgoing Junior Director. He has also conducted various resume workshops and coordinated closely with the student chapters at UC Davis, Sacramento State, Chico State, and University of Pacific.  Greg continues to contribute to the development of young engineers and Quincy Engineering is very proud to support him in his endeavors.</p>
