Projects

Quincy Engineering Inc. has completed projects for clients in California, Oregon, Nevada, Utah and Arizona. Our staff has completed Feasibility Studies, Preliminary Design Studies, Final Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E) and have provided Construction Management Services.

Feature Project

This project involves:

• Increasing on and off ramp capacity
• Widening and seismic retrofitting two bridges over Weber Creek
• Constructing six retaining walls
• Reconstructing several roads and intersections affected by the interchange
• Replacing the existing overcrossing bridge

During the development of the Project Study Report (PSR), the County identified the single-point diamond interchange (SPDI) as the preferred alternative for the site. However, Caltrans, which has project oversight and approval responsibilites, expressed concern over the use of the SPDI at this project location. In order to alleviate Caltrans' concerns, the County engaged Quincy Engineering to perform a Peer Review, at which time an Alternatives Analysis was completed. This review and analysis identfied alterations to the proposed SPDI, which in turn lead to Caltrans' approval of the design concept, and ultimately the PSR.
