San Joaquin County

San Joaquin County is leading this project to replace the existing Woodward Island Ferry with a new bridge over Middle River in the Delta area west of Stockton.  A new bridge will provide continuous access to the island from West Bacon Island Road on Upper Jones Tract. This project is funded through the Highway Bridge Program.

A topographic survey was compiled through aerial and conventional surveys at each end of the proposed structure.  A hydrographic survey was also completed along the proposed alignment within the limits of the waterway.  The Quincy Engineering, Inc. survey team is  also tasked with completing boundary and right of way surveys for the project.

The project is currently in the CEQA / NEPA environmental approval phase.  Quincy Engineering is performing preliminary design as well as managing the development of the environmental document and project report.
