The Sheldon Road/State Route 99 Interchange Reconstruction project consists of the replacement and realignment of the Sheldon Road/State Route 99 Overcrossing and associated on and off ramps, realignment of frontage roads, widening of Sheldon Road from two lanes to six lanes, and the upgrade of ramp intersections, including replacing signals and lighting.
Stage construction minimized impacts to vehicular traffic on both Route 99 and Sheldon Road as well as impacts to pedestrians and bicyclists. Utility relocation, traffic signal interconnection, storm water drainage, retaining walls, and the replacement of a pumping plant were also part of this $41 million project.
