Murraysmith + Quincy Engineering is looking for a Help Desk Specialist to be in our Rancho Cordova, CA office. Due to our rapid growth, the need for a centralized Network/Infrastructure team member to support our office locations across Oregon, Washington, California, Colorado, and Idaho.
Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software

Respond to queries, run diagnostic programs, isolate problem, and determine and implement solution.

Train computer users
-
Respond to email messages and calls for customers seeking help
-
Ask questions to determine nature of problem
-
Walk customer through problem-solving process
-
Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved
-
Gain feedback from customers about computer usage
-
Run reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur
Technical Skills:
-
Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, phone systems, software, and hardware, including mobile phones & tablets

Respond to queries either in person or over the phone
-
Write task-specific instructions
-
Maintain daily performance of computer systems
-
Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software
-
Perform routine disk cleanup
-
Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems
-
Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers
-
Resolve technical problems with LAN/WAN systems
-
Install computer peripherals for users
-
Help support VoIP phone systems
You must have:
-
Associate’s degree in Information Systems or Technology. Experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.

Two (2)+ years experience in an IT Help Desk or Technical Support environment.

Microsoft Office 2013 and Office 365 (Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, Outlook, PowerPoint, Lync, Yammer, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint, OneNote, Project, Visio, and Delve)

Windows 10 - preferred
