RUSS NORTON, PE, ELECTED TO APWA OREGON BOARD OF DIRECTORS

October 2017

     Russ Norton, PE, was elected onto the Board of Directors for the APWA Oregon Chapter at the organization’s Fall Conference on October 17-20. Since 1996, Russ has been an active member of the chapter and is now looking forward to serving on the board for the 2018-2019 period. He currently chairs the Transportation Committee and is a member of the Standard

Russ Norton will serve as one of the 12 Board of Directors for the APWA Oregon Chapter from 2018 -2019.

Specifications Committee. Russ’s responsibilities with this position include developing and updating specifications for the Oregon Standard Specifications for Construction. The organization has more than 800 professionals who regularly network, share ideas, and stay up-to-date on industry trends.

     Russ is a Project Manager/Senior Engineer in Quincy’s Salem, Oregon office. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering Technology from the Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls and has been with Quincy since 2007. Previously, Russ spent eight years in Subsurface Utility Locating and Mapping and Utility Relocation Coordination throughout 12 western states.  He also worked for ODOT’s Preliminary Design Unit, Region 2 Construction & Survey, and Traffic Design Section, as well as with a Heavy Civil/Mining contractor. Russ is also a Veteran of the US Army.
